KeyedIn Manufacturing is designed to be lean. The application is built to remove the manual steps you currently complete by automating the process to update these steps in real time. Imagine converting a quote to a sales order and having your work orders created and scheduled automatically to your shop floor. Even better, imagine your shop floor workers updating their timesheets or issuing materials to a job in real-time.

Updating your shop floor information real time allows you to see and correct mistakes before they cost you money. You can see if the wrong materials are being used before the part leaves your building. In addition you can make informed decisions by being able to drag and drop jobs to see the effect on production plan, with the ability to communicate those decisions to everybody involved. This will make your business more efficient and profitable.
Once a quote is converted to a sales order or a new sales order is created, KeyedIn Manufacturing will create all needed work orders and schedule production automatically based on requested delivery dates and lead times. From the sales order, you will have a link to the parent Work order at the header and in the related content you will have a list of all related work orders. This information will also show the suggested start dates.
Clicking on the link to a child work order, gives me all the detail about that work order, including any materials and lead time, as well as operations that need to occur, the resource and how long it should take.
All work orders are included in a scheduling board where you can see, in real time, all the operations that are being done to a particular work order, department or a resource. This allows you to see if anything on the shop floor is overloaded and where to pay attention. Within the schedule, I can drag and drop each item and move it to where it makes the most sense in the schedule, based on material issue and capacity. This will automatically update the work orders affected by this change, eliminating the extra step of having to communicate this change to the shop floor.
Once a resource begins work on a Work order, they can update any material issues directly in the Work order. In addition there is a simple and easy to use interface to record time worked.
Once the work is accomplished the shop floor person can mark the quantity completed, which will allow everyone to see in real time how far along they are to finishing up the overall job.
