Sales with KeyedIn Manufacturing
Many manufacturing companies tolerate software solutions that focus only on the production requirements of small to mid-size manufacturers. This often causes manufacturers to manually track sales activities or enter data into multiple places to take a lead through to shipping.

KeyedIn Manufacturing was written specifically to incorporate a single flow of transactions that not only meet the needs of the shop floor, but also address the needs of sales.
How this helps the Prospect
KeyedIn Manufacturing provides such abilities as auto creation of customers from leads which eliminates duplicate entry and the generation of quotes with a combination of custom built items, standard items and parts along with the ability to convert those quotes directly into sales orders. With the custom part capability, there is no need to create a part in inventory for every line of every order. Rather, customer specific items can be created on the fly within the quote and be combined with pre-configured items and parts.
As described in the CRM overview, users can convert a lead they have been nurturing into a quote or proposal simply by clicking on the Create Quote button.
The system pulls the prospect information from the lead. To create a quote for an existing customer, just select Add Quote from the menu bar. Again, all of the default information will be retrieved.
On the quote, there is a section for the items be included. Simply select Add Item and select an existing item or select Custom Part in order to create the bill of materials specific to the item being built. You can also copy lines from existing quotes, which is a great shortcut if you have similar items on another order.
When selecting existing inventory items, the quote will be updated to show the list selling price, the price you would like to use as well as the estimated margin on the items. For a custom part, a template is selected and then parts and operations can be applied.
Once a quote is completed, it can easily be printed as a proposal and then be used to create a sales order which will then kick off the production process.
