KeyedIn Unveils New Version of Cloud-based ERP Manufacturing Solution: More Power, Less Clutter for Machine Shops

KeyedIn Manufacturing Version 6.0 boosts shop floor performance and streamlines documents for custom manufacturing

MINNEAPOLIS – June 16, 2020 – KeyedIn, an innovator in cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for custom manufacturers, today unveiled KeyedIn Manufacturing (KIM) 6.0, a new version that enables machine shops and captive job shops to fulfill orders faster, with lower production costs and improved profit margins.

KIM helps custom and make-to-order manufacturers automate their quote-to-cash business processes. The new version delivers key performance improvements for the shop floor, along with improved handling of work orders, invoices, and other documents associated with a custom manufacturing order. The new KIM features help customers keep pace with growing transaction volumes and the need for greater shop floor capacity. KIM 6.0 also includes richer and deeper integration with QuickBooks Online, for faster, more accurate financial reconciliation.

“What makes all of these enhancements even more valuable is KeyedIn Manufacturing’s one-of-a-kind customization engine,” said Matt Muldoon, KeyedIn’s Chief Product Officer. “Not only does KIM provide quote-to-cash automation, but it allows machine shops to customize it to their unique processes – which is especially valuable now as manufacturers are dealing with market forces that change every week.”

He added, “Most other manufacturing ERP systems, especially old on-premise software, are terribly inflexible and inhibit a shop owner’s ability to grow and innovate.”

New features in KIM 6.0 include:
  • Faster, easier document movement – KIM’s customizable workflow makes it easy to capture or copy documents, such as packing slips or invoices, at any point in the sales, production or invoicing process.
  • Improved reporting – KIM now offers AR and AP aging reports for any user-selected date, as well as a new production accounting report and posting process.
  • Enhanced sales and work order – New functionality simplifies the creation and modification of sales orders, and closed work orders can now be reopened as needed.

“Simply put, KeyedIn Manufacturing has revolutionized our manufacturing shop,” said Austin Shears, owner at O.T. Fabricating. “When the COVID-19 lockdowns hit, I was so grateful I could access everything I needed to know about my business from home, my phone or wherever, because KIM is in the cloud. Plus, we were able to modify our processes quickly, as needed, with virtually no disruption.”

KeyedIn Manufacturing 6.0 is now available and was provided seamlessly and uploaded automatically to all current KIM customers. To learn more, visit www.keyedinerp.com
